July toured Tassie then returned to Melbourne to
record "lung" for "Crack in the sun, fade in the shade" compilation released in November
In October the band toured Brisbane and later that month saw
the release of the compilation "12 heads no brains" containing 3 Fridge songs
December toured Sydney

In February played in Melbourne with Iggy Pop
May saw another tour of Tassie.
In June the band played in Sydney with You Am I
and began recording "cactus"
July tour of Tassie.

In May "cactus" was released

In September Fridge toured Sydney and began recording "an intoxicating breath of fresh air"
